Bank of Central African States
The Bank of Central African States (BEAC) was established in Yaoundé, Cameroon in 1972. Member countries include Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea and Chad.The bank emits the currency of the union and guarantees stability.
Mission
- To define and carry out monetary policy in the member countries
- To manage exchange operations
- To manage the exchange reserves of member countries
- To promote efficient operation of payment systems in member countries
