Harmonization and streamlining activities under UNEP

UNEP and the UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC) have a long history of working with countries and international partners on harmonization of national reporting and streamlining of information management related to multilateral environmental agreements, in particular the five global biodiversity-related conventions:
  • Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD);
  • Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES);
  • Convention on Migratory Species (CMS);
  • Ramsar Convention on Wetlands (Ramsar);
  • World Heritage Convention (WHC).
