State of the World’s Forest Genetic Resources National Focal Points
In April 2010, FAO invited its member countries, through an official invitation, to nominate National Focal Points (NFPs) on forest genetic resources for the preparation of Country Reports for The State of the World’s Forest Genetic Resources. Following the release of the global report in 2014, the NFPs have also been asked to provide inputs to follow-up activities (e.g. implementation of the Global Plan of Action and its monitoring) and to the work of the Intergovernmental Technical Working Group on Forest Genetic Resources. The list below shows the contact details of the current NFPs. Countries are kindly invited to contact FAO and nominate new NFPs, as needed (e.g. retirement of a NFP, change of position).
