Content: Two day scenic bus tour of forest pathology hot spots in Interior Västerbotten including Commercial Forestry, Environmental commitments, Natural Taiga forests, Bird-watching and Reindeer husbandry.

No. 2 Bridging science and policy -- Forest management for increased bioenergy supply and adaptation to a changing climate

Hosts: Swedish Forest Agency and US Forest Service

Content: The development of science-based policies and transfer of knowledge to forest owners. The excursion visits forest owners to exemplify the integration of sustainable energy production in forest operations and to discuss adaptation.

No. 4 Boreal ecosystems in a changing environment -- visits of field experimental sites

a) Land-Atmospere Exchange of CO2 – the role of Boreal ecosystems (both forests and mires) under changing climate.
b) Effects of N-deposition on boreal ecosystems.
