E-mail consultation among a core group of forest health specialists to:
- outline the purpose, scope, objectives, target audience, etc. of the Guide;
- discuss best methods and approach for preparing the Guide;
- develop a plan of action for the drafting process;
decide upon and prioritize the forestry-related ISPMs and related information to be discussed in the Guide.
13-15 May 2009
First technical meeting of the core group in Rome, Italy to:
- further refine the preparation process and the draft outline;
discuss best methods for explaining and presenting information on ISPMs to the target audiences.
June-August 2009
Meeting follow-up and preparation of a first draft of the Guide prepared by the Coordinator and the IPPC Secretariat with input from the core group.
August 2009
Draft guide sent to core group for their comments and consultation with foresters and other stakeholders
September 2009
Available core group members meet at the International Forestry Quarantine Research Group (IFQRG) meeting to further refine the guide draft
October 2009
Presentation held at the event (PPS, 3MB)
Presentation of the process at the World Forestry Congress in Buenos Aires, Argentina
