Case studies

Foris case studies is a pilot database used for keeping track of case studies of sustainable forest management. However, the concept, "case study" can easily be tranferred to other thematic areas.

Background

In Forestry Department there was a growing concern that a number of written case studies were only "laying about" without being properly used. A case study becomes truly useful only when many case studies are compared and conclusions drawn. To this end, a specilaized database was set up within the Foris framework to accomodate the information.
