National Reporting Tables and their specifications

FRA 2005 contains fifteen National Reporting Tables as shown in the table of contents to the left.

This site provides a specification of the each National Reporting Table. The tables will build on available reports and data for each country. The full country report will contain references and documentation of the estimates, having similar format and supporting information.
The focus is both on the state of forest resources and the trends between 1990 and 2005.

The table specifications contain the following sections:
  • Rationale
  • Specification
      special concern, under this section, is given to:
    • Units for reporting and the reporting years;
    • Categories and definitions;
    • Reporting template.
  • Relevance of the National Reporting Tables to other international processes
The site was first published as a draft on 8 August 2003; it was then reviewed according to the suggestions and comments from the
National Correspondents Training Session 2003.
