Next session

To improve collaboration and strengthen linkages between the International Poplar Commission (IPC) and one of the main IPC stakeholders, the "IUFRO - Working Party 2.08.04, Poplar and Willow Genetics", the 45th session of the IPC Executive Committee will be held in Porano, Orvieto, Italy, at Villa Paolina, on 19 September 2010, one day before the opening of the Fifth International Poplar Symposium (IPS-V), organized by IUFRO in Orvieto, upon the kind invitation and availability of Brian Stanton, Chair of IUFRO - Working Party 2.08.04, Poplar and Willow Genetics, Giuseppe Scarascia Mugnozza, IPS-V Conference Chair and Enrico Brugnoli, Director of the Institute of Agro-Environmental and Forest Biology (IBAF), National Research Council (CNR), Italy

Acknowledgement

The FAO Project GCP/INT/059/ITA funded by Italy supported the Secretariat of IPC to conduct a historical search through the FAO Archives and the FAO Library to recover most of the documents and publications related to the IPC Sessions held from 1947 to today.

The web pages reporting both the IPC full Sessions and IPC Executive Sessions have been recently updated with all documents recovered and with names of Secretaries and Chairs of IPC from 1947 up to today.
