Chile is located between 18 and 55 degrees of Latitude South with a variety of environments and climates that range from the deserts in the Northern Region to rivers, lakes and glaciers in the Southern Region where annual rainfall exceeds 5000 mm.

Santiago, located in the centre of the country, in the semi-arid region, has a mild climate with 300 mm of annual rainfall and a long dry period from October to March. Temperatures vary -4°C in winter to 34° in summer.

November and December is spring time in Santiago with pleasant sunny days and temperatures between 24 and 28 °C.
