| Between 21° and 55° SL and with altitudes to almost 7000 metres above sea level Argentina, like Chile, presents a variety of climatic conditions. Warm conditions in the northern part, temperate in the central-east zones, arid lands close to the Andes and frost conditions on the south.

| On December Mendoza and Buenos Aires have temperatures between 18° and 29° C with absolute maximun of 39° C. During the same period rainfall in Mendoza could be some 30 mm (200 mm/year) and in Buenos Aires some 90 mm (1100 mm/year). | |
