Grey literatureDocuments such as technical reports, government documents, unpublished papers, etc. are often difficult to identify and acquire through normal bookselling channels and for this reason, are sometimes referred to as "grey literature". The Forestry Branch Library has always made a special effort to maintain a collection of this type of material in the knowledge that it is often difficult for users to identify and obtain it. The Library houses three collections considered "grey literature": species files, country files and subject files, including documentation on FAO forestry projects, papers and reports from various FAO meetings and information from other international organizations.
Printed and electronic books, journals and other documents held by the Library may be searched using the FAO library catalogue.
