Video: Supporting the energy needs of refugees and host communities

Rome, Italy, 13 October 2017 - FAO and the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) have partnered together to support the energy needs of over 200 000 South Sudanese refugees displaced in refugee camps in the Gambella region of Ethiopia in order to reduce the impact on forest resources and the host community. This video was shown as part of the side event, Unleashing the potential of forests and trees: protracted crises, forced migration and nutrition, at the 44th Session of the Committee on World Food Security (CFS44).
