This issue of Unasylva examines a number of measures that countries have taken to improve the financing of sustainable forest management. It includes information about funding sources, forest plantation incentives, payments for the production of environmental and social services and innovative revenue sharing arrangements that encourage greater private-sector and community investment in forestry. Case studies include examples from Australia, China, Costa Rica, Ghana, UK and USA.
