Regional Forest Sector Country Profiles for Central and Eastern European Countries (RFCP/CEEC)

This site provides country by country data and information on forest resources, forest products markets and forest policies with relevance to the CEEC region.

The presented information is mainly compiled from FAO/UNECE networks on forest resources (e.g. Global Forest Resources Assesment), forest products statistics (FAO statistical database) as well as from other international organizations (Ministerial Conference on the Protection of Forests in Europe, MCPFE and The International Union for the Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, IUCN etc.). Most information is linked through the web while in some cases information was available only from hardcopy publications. With regard to consistent country by country information about forest sector policies and institutions, particular effort is made to collect information through the assistance of national policy experts.

Forest sector information with relevance to all countries of the world can be found under FAO Forestry Department Country Profiles.
