DIRECTORY OF FOREST-RELATED INTERNATIONAL AND REGIONAL INSTITUTIONS, INSTRUMENTS AND ORGANIZATIONS

This directory is maintained by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and Secretariat of the United Nations Forum on Forests (UNFF) on behalf of the Collaborative Partnership on Forests (CPF)

A broad spectrum of global and regional institutions, instruments and organizations deals with forests and forestry. The Intergovernmental Forum on Forests (IFF) in 1998 invited FAO to take the lead in developing a directory of such bodies [Para F.6 pg 26]. In addition to contact information, this directory includes their mandates and relevance of their work to forests.
