A database of 1848 keyword terms in English, Spanish and Portuguese from the 1995 CAB Thesaurus, which have been used to index records in the (formerly TREECD) database published by CAB International. The terms are available as Spanish/English, Portuguese/English and Trilingual Lists.

The CBD (Convention on Biological Diversity) Controlled Vocabulary is a work-in-progress, which is being developed to provide descriptors for web pages on the Convention�s website and for use by the Clearing-house Mechanism (CHM) national focal points to describe the contents of their national CHM websites. The terms have been taken from official CBD documents and from UNEP�s ENVOC and the FAO�s AGROVOC thesauri. There is a mechanism for submitting terms for inclusion in the CBD controlled vocabulary. Terms submitted for inclusion must be from CBD documents and/or other published controlled vocabularies or thesauri.

AGROVOC is a multilingual agricultural thesaurus in Arabic, Chinese, Czech, English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Each descriptor has an equivalent in the other languages. Versions of AGROVOC in other languages have also been prepared and are being maintained by national centres or by groups of countries sharing those languages. AGROVOC is used for the description of information sources in the field of agriculture, fisheries, forestry, nutrition, food safety, and related subjects, such as the environment.

This site provides access to FAOTERM, a multilingual database in Arabic, Chinese, English, French and Spanish, that covers FAO's specialized subjects of agriculture, biology, forestry, fisheries, economics, statistics, nutrition, etc. It also includes names of international organizations, official titles, the structure of FAO, acronyms, statutory bodies, meetings, staff titles, etc. Some definitions, have also been incorporated into the database. It also provides sites of interest to translators, links to international databases, and the Terminology and Reference Group.

A website containing terms and definitions used in the Global Forest Resources Assessment 2005 (FRA 2005). These definitions build on earlier global assessments to ensure comparability backwards. They have been modified on the basis of recommendations from experts in various fora. The definitions have been translated for the documents that guide the FRA national correspondents. They are available in Arabic, English, French, Spanish and Russian.

The SilvaVoc website describes the activities and outputs of SilvaVoc, IUFRO's clearinghouse for multilingual forest terminology. Through the harmonization of existing terminological data worldwide, the group aims to provide information on dictionaries, glossaries and terminological publications in forestry in different languages. The website also contains links to SilvaVoc's involvement in a bibliography of terminological publications, the SilvaTerm database, the multilingual glossary forest genetic resources, a joint FAO/IPCC/CIFOR/IUFRO harmonization project, and other related projects.
