Dr. Rubén Grajeda Toledo is a Senior Advisor in Nutrition and Social Determinants at the Pan American Health Organization, in Washington D.C. Dr. Grajeda graduated from the University of San Carlos in Guatemala and he is a specialist in Gynaecology and Obstetrics. He also holds a master's degree in Nutritional Science from the University of Connecticut. Prior to his position in PAHO, he worked at the Institute of Nutrition from Central America and Panama (INCAP by its Spanish acronym) as a main researcher in nutrition and maternal and child health projects. He has published the results of various studies in the areas of epidemiology, community nutrition, obesity and public health.
