I never understood why, when making the point that investment in early childhood nutrition (as the Bank does above) yields high returns, the data from the Copenhagen Consensus Challenge Paper by Hoddinott, Rosegrant & Torero, is not used.  They clearly state on p.37 and in Table 3.19 that the return can be as high as $138 for every dollar. If one wishes to make an economic argument, why not make the strongest possible argument? We need governments, from the top to the district and village level, to see that nutrition investments are smart economically, socially and politically.  Reference:  http://ow.ly/oJyr6
