Mark is a Senior Economist and Programme Coordinator of the Agricultural Development Economics Division at FAO and holds a B.Sc and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Economics from McGill University and the University of Saskatchewan. He has 25 years of experience in establishing food security information systems at country and regional levels, and in providing food security strategy and policy advice. As Coordinator of the FAO FIVIMS Programme, he has been a co-editor of the State of Food Insecurity in the World (SOFI) and has led the development of the FSN Forum at FAO.
