I am working on:
I am a Consumer Safety Officer within the FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN), Division of Produce Safety - Fresh Produce Branch. Our staff is involved with the recent Food Safety Modernization Act's development and implementation of the "Standards for Growing, Harvesting, Packing and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption", commonly referred to as the Produce Safety Rule (21 CFR Part 112). My area of expertise lies within Subpart F of this rule as applies to the safe usage of soil amendments for the production of commodities regulated by the Produce Safety Rule.
