    • Having served as invited foreign expert to 7 PRC Minister, lecture to Agriculture, Forestry, Science, Law universities, and led in soil, food, forestry security across 9 provinces, the challenges for PRC 2015—is greater than any other nation! Each nation is seriously different not related. With respect your questions are too narrow to address “saving the future!

        The following from hands on teaching! Best to address PRC conditions specifically!

      (1)   Firstly perpetual land tenure to PRC Farmers Herders. Grow soil, soil-carbon-nutrients.

      (2)   Food security relies on secure nutrient rich soil and water. Do not set bench marks in a decade but perpetual to set a model for you to become farmers.

      (3)   PRC greatest challenge is lack of teaching planning perpetual soil, soil-elements hence it must import food and fodder and forestry. The problem is UN, UK, USA AU Australia all report 20-40 more years of soil to grow food. So PRC suffering more than the above a plan to grow soil for food and to stop deserts.  Farmer education and land tenure key to survive!

      PRC has hand pollinated for 32 years a global challenge is grow soil and bees and lowering CO2e.

      (4)    Teach soil water vegetation atmosphere bees are the only assets of all living matter all else but commodities. Sadly without President XI grating land tenure to Farmers Herders you have 14 more years of soil.

      Best your conference addresses the PRC loss of the 5 base assets and how to write curriculum to schools, Universities and Farmer groups.     • Your noble work and reporting is critical. I can only contribute to the solutions you seek by adding our work in growing soil soil-carbon food in deserts and like areas. Google will give detail reference data and YouTube visuals of our work with PRC Government in hostile array of deserts. The science and protocol and understanding of perpetual growth can be taught. Well planned the bonus it be it a layout for Farming or Grazing the 2-4% of Earths native plants selected meet UNFCCC CO2e offset rules hence funding. I would be pleased in this important year to assist FAO/UNEP.

    • The cornerstone of modern society over the past 340 years has been financial banking, reflecting, the more you have, the more you contribute. The reality is contributing to the financial bank has actually drawn upon, close to the point of no return, the cornerstone Bank of Assets of mankind and all living matter Soil-Water-Vegetation-Atmosphere (SWVA).

      Reality is, every aspect of our daily lives, directly and indirectly, we are drawing upon SWVA and have done so at the start of industrial revolution. It is now mandatory that, we view all forms of financial banking income be correlated to, the drawing-down of the bank of assets (SWVA).  Be it mining-petroleum-fracking, forestry harvesting, power generation, manufacturing transport include airlines, & farming drawing the carbon and elements from the soil into food on the table.

      Based on my decades involved in lecturing and growing soil, soil-carbon and elements in deserts viewing firsthand anthropogenic poverty on all continents clearly a new global accounting balancing protocol is demanded.

      Clearly scientifically proven SWVA is in overdraft. If we are to return the planet in full working order to the historians of tomorrow (who indeed have their pens poised) we need to act to avert the receiver Nature imposing serious hardships.

      Based on hands on experience reversing deserts to grow soil food and fodder with dedicated vegetation sequesters mass volumes of CO2e and via the root systems manure become soil, soil-carbon and elements. Well planned and design under UNFCCC emissions all of the above can be offset at low to zero cost. Applying financial accounting terms meeting of the UNFCCC 100 year secure storage of CO2 the income outweighs all the profit of all the above.

      Addressing Climate Change is the greatest business opportunity ever and it is perpetual. Bottom line well planned there is more returns saving the Planet than stripping it!

    • I subscribe  we must teach the young "the only Assets of Mankind and all living matter are Soil-Water-Vegetation-Atmosphere", all else but commodities. We teach in our classes, Asset Banking and roll-over of assets. We teach replicating Nature grow C3 crops for 4 years and rest for 3 years for weeds and like C4 array to kick start the carbon cycle sequestering all the life sustaining elements critical for food nutrients. Farming soil is the same as Banking roll-over, rest accrue interest.  If I were in your offices I would deliver a workshop coupled with all our visuals, papers and living models of soil growing out of (converting) sand back to carbon and element rich soils. Well trained Farmers engage 8 from soil to table. Feeding the world growing soil food fodder forestry can be achieved well before 2020 and by de-fault lower 40tonne CO2e per hectare per annum.
