My passion for science communication as well as environmental education is the reason I graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki as Agriculturist (Bachelor), “Conservation of biodiversity and sustainable exploitation of native plants” (Master) in Biology, "International Diploma in Botanic Garden Education", run by BGCI & Kew Royal Botanic Gardens and Agricultural-Environmental Education (PhD).
During my studies, working as a presenter-consultant agronomy / biology in educational television series of Greek National Television (ERT3) "Mother Earth", concerning sustainable agriculture, made me realize a great demand and need in my country: connection needed between scientists and public for our natural heritage protection. When I finished my studies (2013) I started working in the Balkan Botanic Garden of Kroussia (BBGK) in various disciplines among which, responsible for Environmental Education and Public Engagement. I worked under the instructions and guidance of Dr Eleni Maloupa who is the Greek National representative at BGCI and Director of Institute of Plant Breeding and Phytogenetic Resources and BBGK.
