Based on available qualitative information and nationally representative data, this profile of Ghana assesses existing gender and age disparities in employment and income in rural areas. The profile is divided into two parts. Part I provides an overview of the national, economic, social and demographic contexts, with a close look at education and the agricultural sector. Part II looks in detail at gender differences and inequalities in rural employment. 58 pp.
