Agri-Gender Statistics Toolkit

A methodological tool and guide prepared under the “Strengthening national capacities for production and analysis of sex-disaggregated data through the implementation of the FAO GASF” project, which targeted national statistical offices and ministries of agriculture in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkey, in order to assist in developing gender-sensitive statistics on the agricultural and rural sector, to assess the status of rural populations – women and men – and to ensure evidence-based and informed policymaking processes. 56 pp.

Addressing Women's Work Burden (Factsheet)

This factsheet highlights women's time poverty and discusses their triple work burden: in the household, as producers and at community level. It introduces labour saving technologies, practices and services as potential solutions, while also describing constraints that women may face in access and adoption. A concluding section presents the way forward as addressed by FAO, IFAD and UNIDO. 4 pp.
