Understanding and integrating gender issues into livestock projects and programmes: A checklist for practitioners

This booklet guides experts in designing, implementing and monitoring livestock projects and programmes in a gender sensitive way. It identifies the main challenges faced by smallholder farmers, especially women, in small livestock management (particularly poultry and small ruminants) and in dairy farming.

FAO’s Participation Website

This database contains over 900 tools and methodologies of participatory approaches. It is based on a collection of publications, experiences and tools from development practitioners who use participatory methods.

Gender analysis and forestry training package

The materials in this Training Package are designed to support participatory training on the interrelationships of gender issues and forestry issues. The Package includes how-to information about participatory programme design, workshop design, training methods and techniques, and case study research using rapid rural appraisal.

Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN Forum)

An online platform for facilitated discussions and interaction between academics, researchers, development practitioners and policy makers. The Forum allows members to share information and resources related to issues of food security and nutrition, such as gender, climate change and HIV/AIDS.
