FAO and UNEP Geneva Webinar celebrates the launch of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030 and World Oceans Day

11/06/2021

The FAO and UNEP offices with the United Nations in Geneva organized a joint event today (8 June), in celebration of the launch of the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021-2030. High level panelists discussed how to act now to achieve the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda including goals on climate change, poverty eradication, food security, water and biodiversity conservation – and the ten actions on Ecosystem Restoration needed to do so.

The United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration 2021—2030 aspires to unite the world behind a common goal of preventing, halting and reversing the degradation of ecosystems worldwide.

The UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration is an opportunity to reset our relationship with nature. This has to be a generational movement #GenerationRestoration
