Ecosystems map of Central America, 1:250.000, J.R. Jones, CATIE. - for South America: Eva, H.D. et al., 2002. A vegetation map of South America. EUR 20159 EN, European Commission, Joint Research Centre, Luxembourg. In addition, many national data sources were used to enhance land use information (IBGE census in Brazil, national land use maps for Colombia and the Central American countries, census data for Honduras, etc.). Separate ArcInfo grid files are provided for Central and South America.
