A total of 2,025,046 people (540,844 households) in 268 district, and 17 sub-districts in 46 provinces in the North, Central Plain, East, Northeast and South have been affected by the low pressure cells and depressions. A total of 39 people have been killed to date (7 in Chiang Mai, 2 in Lampang, 7 in Sukhothai, 5 in Phitsanulok, 1 in Nakhon Sawan, 1 in Phetchabun, 1 in Sing Buri, 4 in Angthong, 1 in Phichit, 1 Prachin Buri, 4 in Chanthaburi, 2 in Pathum Thani, 1 in Phra Nakhon Si Ayuttaya, 1 in Chaiyaphum, and 1 in Phang Nga) with another missing in Chiang Mai. Damages reported to date include 36 houses destroyed, 7,209 houses partially damaged, 2,557 roads and 226 bridges destroyed, 1,556,941 rais of farmland destroyed, 16,963 fish ponds destroyed and 453 schools and temples destroyed. Damage and loss estimates from initial surveys are estimated at Bt 236,581,791 (US$6.226 million) Outlook According to forecasts from the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) for the period 11th to 17th October, the low pressure trough currently across central and eastern Thailand will move southward, bringing widespread rain to the South, and alleviating rainfall for northern, northeastern, central and eastern Thailand.
