The Women's Arab League and its President Carmen Zogheib organized a seminar focused on The 1billionhungry project at the Jounieh municipality (Beyrouth, Lebanon) on 22 October. The parterre was very high level and included government and diplomatic corps representatives, Messengers of Peace from Lebanon and First Ladies. A famous poet dedicated a poem to FAO and various singers offered a pro bono concert. The event was widely covered by major media in the region and also aired live on the news TV in Lebanon (OTV radio TV), with a major focus on the BHP. A collection of the 1billionhungry project petition signatures was organized through networks of schools, universities and academies.
