FAO's Goodwill Ambassadors are speaking with one voice in an urgent appeal on behalf of more the more than one billion people living in chronic hunger worldwide. 2 2009 World Food Day celebrations in Nigeria
As part of the week long activities lined up to mark the 2009 World Food Day in Nigeria, the observance of the Day was successfully carried out in various parts of the country. In Abuja, this year’s World Food Day was celebrated in a multi-location setting from 12 to 16 October 2009. The event was held alongside the 2009 National Agricultural Show in Tudun Wada, Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, about 45 minutes drive from the capital city, Abuja.
