أثرت مبادرة تليفود التي أطلقتها منظمة الأغذية والزراعة للأمم المتحدة عام 1997 حياة العديد من البشر في البلدان النامية والبلدان التي تمر بمرحلة التحول.
وقد ساعد صندوق تليفود الخاص الأسر ومجتمعات صغار المزارعين على إنتاج المزيد من الغذاء وتوليد الدخل لتحسين سبل الحصول على الأغذية ، وذلك من خلال تمويل مشروعات صغيرة النطاق توجه لهذه الفئات.
وقد حققت حملة تبرعات تليفود أكثر من 28 مليون دولار لتمويل نحو 2700 مشروع في 130 بلدا حول العالم.
