Lesotho Hunger Walk 2012

FAO, in partnership with WFP, organized yesterday, Sunday 28 October 2012, a Hunger Walk in Maseru, to raise awareness on the hunger issue in the Kingdom, with the view of “stopping hunger in its cracks”, notably through partnership, cooperation and increased investment into agriculture.  The walk was graced and led by the Prime Minister of Lesotho, the Right Honourable Thomas Thabane, with attendance from several cabinet ministers, government officials, development partners, farmer union representatives, and the general public.

National World Food Day celebrations  took place on  16 /10/2012 and were organized by the Ministry of Agriculture in Quthing district.
