World Food Day commemoration in Jordan
The celebration took place on 17 October at King Hussein Club and it was attended by 150 persons from different UN Organizations and Government Ministries and Department, the Celebration was under the patronage of H.E Minister of Agriculture and this celebration contained a brief of WFD 2012 and FAO Jordan Activities in Jordan as well as a presentations received by 6 Government Departments related to the EFD Theme. World Food Day commemoration in Zimbabwe
World Food Day commemorations in Zimbabwe were held on 17 October, 2012 at Nharira Dairy Centre in Chikomba district of the Mashonaland East province. About 1 500 people including government officials from Harare, Marondera and Chivu, local NGOs, farmers (crops and livestock), farmer organisations, agricultural inputs suppliers, stockfeed manufacturers, traditional leaders, the local community, school children, the media, FAO and WFP staff attended the occasion. World Food Day observance in Jordan
The CPF for Jordan was signed on the 17th of October on the occasion of the World Food Day, by the Minister of Agriculture of Jordan, H.E. Ahmed Al Khattab, and Mr. Achouri Moujahed, FAO Representative in Egypt, who signed on behalf of the Organization. The WFD ceremony, which was chaired by H.E the Minister of Agriculture, witnessed the participation of high level national authorities, farmer associations, UN agencies and international organizations.

Appealing organic smoothie Økologisk smoothie falt i smakNamdalsavisa, 17 october 2012Overhalla catering was the third in Norway and is still the only Debio certified organic Institutional kitchen in its county. Representatives from Overhalla travelled to primary schools to serve pupils organic hot meals and refreshments in connection with Økouka Week 2012, which is about consumption of organic food. The week coincides with the 16th October, internationally recognized as World Food Day and the anniversary of the founding of FAO in 1945.
