| 6 December - National Agriculture Fair (NAF): the occasion brought together farmers from all parts of the country, and was attended by the President of Liberia, H.E. Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf , the FAO Director General , Dr, Jacques Diouf , the Special Representative of the Secretary General in Liberia, the American Ambassador to Liberia, and Ministers of Agriculture from the Mino River Union Countries, Sierra Leone, Guinea, ivory Coast and Liberia. The FAO Director-General presented the Ceres Medal award to the President of Liberia. Farmers displayed agriculture produce from their various farms, and prices, including rice mill, rice threshers & winnowers, motorized cassava graters, fishing outboard engine, fishing nets, agriculture hand tools, cash, etc, etc, were awarded to winners in various categories. The event was marked by speeches, sales, cultural performances and drama.
A Basketball Tournament at the Sports Commission in Monrovia - The event took place from 28 to 30 November 2008, at the Sports commission on Broad street, Monrovia. The tournament was three consecutive days (November 28 – 30, 2008 ) event and eight teams - four of the big basketball teams in Liberia (UHURU Kings, N.P.A. Pythons, L.P.R.C Oilers & Flames), and four institutions (Ecobank –Liberia, German Agro-Action, UN Military mission in Liberia, and the combined UN Agencies team) participated . The event brought together students, civil servants, private sector representatives, as well as the business community to raise fund for Telefood. The games were played under very friendly atmosphere at Sports Commission on broad street, Monrovia, and the first and second place winners in the two categories were awarded trophies.

- T-shirts: Two sets of T-Shirt were printed (one with photo of President Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf on the front and “NATIONAL AGRICULTURE FAIR 2008 – The Soil is a Bank, Invest in it” printed on the back. The other T-shirt has FAO World Food Day poster on the front and “WORLD FOOD SECURITY, The Challenges of Climate Change and Bioenergy” printed at the back) T-shirt with the President’s photo has the Seal of Liberia on one sleeve and FAO Logo on the other sleeve. The T-shirt with WFD poster has Ministry of Agriculture Logo on one sleeve and FAO Logo on the other.
- FAO WFD items from Headquarters: Information on WFD as it relate to the relevance of the theme in ensuring national food security.
- Banners/Streamers: FAO Logo and the emblem of the Ministry of Agriculture posted with the inscription of the WFD/NAF 2008 as well as various messages. 12 banners were printed and posted in strategic areas in Monrovia, and in Voinjama.
