This publication is the result of a work conducted by the World Bank under the umbrella of the Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI).

The purpose of this study is to identify lessons learned from the development and implementation of MRV systems for REDD+.

Based on lessons learned from 10 different countries around the world, recommendations were derived that will help
to improve the existing support mechanisms in different contexts.
