AGRIS - International Information System for the Agricultural Sciences and Technology

AGRIS, the international information system for the agricultural sciences and technology, became operational in 1975 as an international initiative created by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations to build a common information system for science and technology in agriculture and related subjects, based on a collaborative network of institutions.

FAO has organized consultations to consider the underlying strategy of the AGRIS initiative, to review its progress and to identify ways of improving its effectiveness and outreach, ensuring that it remains a dynamic process which adapts to the evolving conditions of the information society.

Please visit the AGRIS page for further information.
