Partnerships

Partnerships are conducted with governments, research institutes, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and other UN agencies and are based on a two-way process of sharing information, knowledge and expertise. Partnership activities are financed to a great extent by extra-budgetary funds: strong liaison takes place with Member Governments and Donors to secure the necessary financial resources to implement activities.

Within the context of standards and norms, KCE has a long-standing collaboration with CAB of the UK and International and the National Agricultural Library (NAL) of the USA in the development of thesauri and categorization schemes. KCE's AGRIS and CARIS reference input systems bring together 240 national, international and intergovernmental centres from all over the world.
