6th edition of the International Exhibition for Agriculture in Morocco (SIAM)

Mr. Parviz Koohafkan, Director of the Land and Water division at FAO visited Morocco last April to present GIAHS at the 6th edition of the International Exhibition for Agriculture in Morocco (SIAM). In that event, it was referred that Morocco's oases might belong to the Intangible Cultural Heritage. Similar to the "Intangible Heritage" programme established by UNESCO, FAO has implemented the Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) initiative.
