In occasion of the 8th meeting of the GIAHS Scientific Advisory Group (SAG), from 28th to 30th November 2018, 2 new agricultural systems in Italy and in Islamic Republic of Iran were approved and designated as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems:

- Soave Traditional Vineyards, Italy

- Grape Production System in Jowzan Valley, Islamic Republic of Iran
