Technical Specifications

System requirements:

  • Pentium or better (16 hz)
  • Windows95/98, any of the Windows 32 bit operating system, Me, NT4 (service pack 5 minimum, 2000 and XP
  • 640 x 480 VGA display, 256 colors or more
  • Mouse or compatible pointing device
  • minimum 4MB free hard disk
  • 64 Mb RAM required for Windows 95/98
  • 128 Mb RAM required for Windows NT 4.0 Windows 2000 or XP
  • Internet Explorer 3.0 needs to be installed

WinDisp can use the following file formats:

  • IDA format satellite images in various projections: HAMMER_AITOFF, PLATTE_CARRE (Geographic lat/long) LAMBERTCC (Lambert Conformal Conic) METEOSAT, LAMBERTAZ (Lambert Azimuthal) POLAR STEREOGRAPHIC, ALBERS EQUAL-AREA CONIC, GOODES HOMOLOSINE.
  • ATLAS*GIS export format (bna) maps and ESRI shape files
  • BMP, .EPS, .JPG, .PCX, .RAS, .TGA, .TIF, .WMF, .WPG bitmap files
  • ASCII text files
  • ASCII data tables

WinDisp can import these file formats:

  • IDA look up tables (lut)
  • raw binary 8-bit images
  • ASCII images
  • Erdas 7.x LAN or GIS images and ERDAS 7.4 GIS trailers
  • Idrisi Images
  • Idrisi vector map files
  • Surfer raster grids
  • Surfer plot files
  • Arcview Shape

Windisp can export these file formats:

  • raw binary 8-bit images
  • ASCII images
  • Erdas 7.x LAN or GIS images and ERDAS 7.4 GIS trailers
  • Idrisi Images
  • Idrisi vector map files
  • Surfer raster grids
  • Surfer blanking files
