On 5 April, the ministries of Economy and Agriculture agreed on the introduction of temporary duties on the exports of some vegetable products. A duty was introduced on the exports of potatoes to be effective until 30 April 2019 and on the exports of onions and cabbage until 31 May 2019. In addition, the import duties of onions were eliminated. The measure was implemented in an effort to ensure sufficient domestic availabilities and to curb the recent price increases.
