Port fact-finding missions commence under the FAO Global Transshipment Study

23/08/2019

As part of an in-depth study on transshipment practices in fisheries, FAO staff are making a series of fact-finding missions in a number of ports around the world.

The first field visits are focusing on selected ports in the Latin American countries of Ecuador, Perú and Uruguay.

The study aims to shed light on this activity with a view to identifying key managerial challenges, existing best practice and the economic drivers involved.
