Representatives of Soil Information Institutions from all continents and regional soil partnerships met at FAO headquarters in Rome on 31 October -  1 November 2017.

During the workshop the following activities were discussed:

1. issues related to the execution of the Pillar 4 Implementation Plan - GLOSIS, and further planning the spatial data infrastructure.
2. Global Soil Organic carbon Map (GSOCmap): Quality assurance and quality check of the national GSOCmap products 2017
3. issues related to PIllar 5 including soil information modelling, harmonization of soil analysis.
