The global soil carbon mapping programme was initiated in December 2016. Developing the GSOCmap has been a challenge which required intensive collaboration among soil information institutions globally. Besides guideline and cookbook, various specific training events supported GSP partners to engage in the GSOCmap programme, and improved the data used. Among them the training in Santiago de Chile, Chile, on 28 May - 1 June 2018.
