First meeting of the Regional Soil Laboratory Network for Africa

Following the endorsement of the global implementation plan for Pillar 5 in June 2017 and the launch of the Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) on 1-2 November 2017, the Regional Soil Laboratory Network (RESOLAN) for Africa (AFRILAB) was established on 21-24 May 2019, in Nairobi, Kenya.

The Global Soil Partnership established the Global Soil Laboratory Network (GLOSOLAN) to ensure compliance with Pillar 5. At regional level, AFRILAB facilitates the exchange of experiences among national reference soil laboratories. This network aims to strengthen laboratory performance in support of the harmonization of soil data and information sets for the development of global standards.
