Global Soil Partnership Plenary Assembly - Fifth session
The Global Soil Partnership Plenary Assembly (PA) constitutes the main venue where all GSP partners come together to make important decisions about the global soil agenda. The 5th PA of the Global Soil Partnership will take place at FAO headquarters in Rome from 20 to 22 June 2017.
In accordance with the GSP Rules of Procedure, the official documents for each item of the provisional agenda will be made available by 20 May on the GSP Website. Any request for inclusion or modification of items on the Provisional Agenda should be sent to: [email protected] by 20 May 2017.
The Organization invite participants to register to the 5th Plenary Assembly meeting by 30 May 2017. Please note that the online registration requires the uploading of a recent passport-size digital photograph.
Within the context of active implementation of concrete actions needed at country level in the fight against soil degradation, a technical seminar on soil contamination will take place on the 21st of June. As a follow-up to the final endorsement of the Voluntary Guidelines for Sustainable Soil Management (VGSSM) by the 155th session of the FAO Council (December 2016), a policy-oriented workshop on the implementation of the VGSSM will be held on the 22nd of June.
