The National Soil Partnership (NSP) for Cuba was established on 5 December 2019, within the Department of Soils and Fertilizers of the Ministry of Agriculture, that acts as its secretariat. Among its partners, it is worth mentioning the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment; Environment Directorate; the Ministry of Higher Education; the Environment Agency; the University of Havana, the Agrarian University of Havana and finally the 11 research centers corresponding to MINAG.

As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve in Italy and around the world, the GSP Secretariat is currently working from home, ensuring delivery of services and correct implementation of all soil planned activities.

In collaboration with the Global Soil Doctors Programme of the Global Soil Partnership, FAO representation in Colombia is currently organizing farmers to farmers training sessions. The tools provided during the training sessions help them to better understand soil resources, which is their main source of food.
