Release of the Policy booklet at the FAO Regional Conference for Africa (ARC) for the Side Event on Fertilizers
FAO, partners and GSP have agreed on the preparation of a policy booklet to be shared at the Africa Regional Conference in April 2016 during The Side Event on Fertilizers: Follow-up of the 2006 Abuja Declaration on Fertilizers for an African Green Revolution. This booklet will be a useful tool to inform policy makers and practitioners of the need and means of widening the scope of the Abuja Declaration beyond just increasing fertilizer use to promoting Integrated Soil Fertility Management (ISFM) and other sustainable soil management practices, with a high level policy commitment for more efficient and economic production systems.
