In collaboration with the Global Soil Doctors Programme of the Global Soil Partnership, FAO representation in Colombia is currently organizing farmers to farmers training sessions. The tools provided during the training sessions help them to better understand soil resources, which is their main source of food.

Moët Hennessy made official its commitment to sustainable viticulture and sustainable soil management during the forum “Living Soil” held in the framework of Vinexpo, Paris in February 2020.

This “Living Soils” forum was intended to move the conversation forward and facilitate a discussion and ultimately raise awareness on Moët Hennessy’s vision in terms of knowledge, methods, and technology.

Due to the ongoing situation following the outbreak of the coronavirus globally and particularly in Italy, the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations is following a precautionary principle that is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted on 26 Feb. Based on this, the Global Symposium on Soil Biodiversity is postponed to 19 - 22 April 2021 at FAO Headquarters in Rome, Italy.
