The GSP Secretariat is calling for experts from the different regions to engage in challenging formulation tasks regarding Pillar 5.

The 38th FAO Conference considered the proposals endorsed by the Council at its 145th and 146th respectively Sessions to observe 5 December as World Soil Day and 2015 as International Year of Soils to raise awareness of the importance of soils for food security, essential eco-system functions and sustainable development, and adopted the following resolutions.
